ADAC Formel 4·18.12.2015

Carrie Schreiner's season: Charging through the field at Oschersleben

What was your personal highlight of 2015?

My season highlight was the second race at Oschersleben where I moved up from P33 to finish in 15th position. In fact, I was on course for P12 but then made a mistake on the last lap, which set me back slightly.

What goals did you set yourself before the start of the season, and would you say in retrospect that you attained them?

I didn't actually set myself a specific goal. On the other hand, I obviously wanted to learn as much as possible and to improve my performance during the season. My main priority was to work on race pace. I think that I was successful in that respect. I've gained a lot of experience.

What did you learn as far as driving goes from taking part in the ADAC Formula 4, and where will we be seeing you in 2016?

Everything I knew about racing at the start of the year was what I had learnt in karting. I was then able to apply that knowledge in ADAC Formula 4. I also learned how to make use of the experience gained from the tests in qualifying. My braking skills have also greatly improved. I'll be back in this series next year, once again as a member of HTP F4 Junior Team UNGAR.
