Joey Mawson (19, AUS, Van Amersfoort Racing): "This victory is a good way to round off an otherwise mediocre weekend. The drizzle that rarely let up made conditions very tricky in the third race, but I got off to a great start and jumped straight into the lead. I had pulled out a relatively big gap by the halfway stage, and at the time, I was almost certain that all I had to do to win was to keep the car on the track. I'm now heading to the finale at Hockenheim with quite a large points deficit, but I'll do everything I can to secure more podiums there and possibly even wins."
Tim Zimmermann (19, DEU, Neuhauser Racing): "I immediately moved up from fifth into second place at the start, all within the space of two corners. Some drivers were more cautious than others when it began to rain a little, so the field became strung out, which I used to my advantage. I posted very fast times but realised after a few laps that Joey would not be beaten today. I'm very pleased with this podium. At the same time, it makes me a bit sad that things are now just getting going again so late in the season. As a team, we are definitely on the right track, and I hope that I can finally secure my first win of the season at Hockenheim."
Marek Böckmann (18, DEU, Jenzer Motorsport): "My first ADAC Formula 4 podium! I'm incredibly happy and can barely wipe the grin off my face. I got off to a great start and was even up to P1 for a short time. But then Joey outbraked me to go past, and I came marginally off track, which also allowed Tim to overtake. My plan was to stay close behind the pair of them and to keep the gap constant on the cars behind. That worked out really well until Marvin came up behind. I couldn't shake him off, and he was putting me under a lot of pressure. I hugged the corners and closed off any gaps; I also spread myself out and put my foot down early. It's wonderful that it worked out so well and that I finished the race in third place."
Mike Ortmann (15, DEU, kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport): "This victory in the rookie standings has enabled me to retake the class lead. I'm really happy and totally satisfied. I was struggling with the speed of my car at the start of the weekend, but everything went perfectly in the third race. It was a bit slippery because of the light rain, and I was perhaps not aggressive enough at times. Still, it's not a bad achievement at all to move up from 14th on the grid to seventh place."
Michelle Halder (16, DEU, Michelle Halder): "All in all, we'd hoped for more at the weekend, since we'd finished in the Top 20 at the Sachsenring. In the end, we achieved P27, 22 and 29 - not as perfect as we'd hoped. The changeable weather, especially on Sunday, made conditions a bit tricky. Still, it was another instructive weekend during which I was able to improve my driving and achieve an improvement overall."
David Kolkmann (18, DEU, Jenzer Motorsport): "It started to rain heavily in the third race and got steadily more and more slippery. I was able to maintain my position at first but went a little too far to the outside after making a mistake and was overtaken. Ultimately, I finished the race in P12. It was obvious this weekend that we just need to make a bit more progress to finish in the points. We'll do it in Hockenheim."
Kim Luis Schramm (18, DEU, Neuhauser Racing): "The first race today started well but ended prematurely in a contact with an opponent. I had to start from right at the back in the third race but quickly worked my way up into the Top 15. I then had to slow down when a fellow competitor spun in front of me, and many of my rivals went past me. And so, the result doesn't really reflect the car's good turn of speed. Posting fastest lap proves it, though."
Jason Kremer (20, DEU, Team Timo Scheider): "The car's speed today was just perfect. I had to start from P29 and worked my way well up the field. A drive-through penalty landed me back at the rear once more, and yet, I still finished the race in 13th place, helped by a couple safety-car deployments and the tricky conditions. I again set off from way down the field in the second race on Sunday. I was almost able to match the times of the front-runners, and could even have done a little bit better, if I hadn't been continuously involved in scraps. It was a super race, from P31 to 13. A great deal is possible in Hockenheim with this turn of speed."
Cedric Piro (17, DEU, Piro Sports):"Conditions in the morning race were quite tricky. I had some bad luck, because two opponents made contact with me, causing me to spin. I started from the front row in the afternoon, intending to secure a place in the Top Ten. I made a mistake at the start and ultimately finished tenth. A good result, but a little disappointing in view of my initial position."
Giorgio Maggi (17, CHE, Race Performance): "I got off the line well at the start of the third race and had some good scraps for position. Unfortunately, my rear tyres locked up at one point, and I was in danger of spinning. I took evasive action and drove into the gravel bed, so as not to hit the guy in front. Although I was able to continue, a good result was no longer possible."
Jonathan Cecotto (16, VEN, Motopark): "The race in the morning went very well for me. I had to start right from the back but gained a lot of positions. Unfortunately, there was a contact with an opponent, and I could not finish the race. The rain didn't make for easy conditions in the last round of the weekend. Also, my tyres were past their best. I gave it everything, but not much was possible. I have again learned a lot despite the varied results."
Kevin Kratz (18, DEU, Lechner Racing): "Unfortunately, I didn't finish either of the two races on Sunday. I was heading for the Top 15 in today's first race when my tyres locked up. I went off the racing line into the wet, caught the car in time, but remained stuck in the gravel and retired, unfortunately. Events repeated themselves in the second race. I left the racing line to make an overtaking manoeuvre. It was quite wet, and I drove straight on, damaged my car and had to retire."
