Job van Uitert's season: Simply driving at Spa-Francorchamps was my highlight

What was your personal highlight of 2015?

I remember especially well the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps. Just being allowed to drive on this track was a highlight for me. The race itself went well. I managed to fight my way through the field from last on the grid to finish in 22nd place. I also had the support of some fans from the Netherlands. That made it feel like a home race.

What goals did you set yourself before the start of the season, and would you say in retrospect that you attained them?

Going into the season, I had intended to finish somewhere in the Top Ten. Ultimately, I failed in that attempt. Nevertheless, I've learnt a lot in my rookie year, and I was able to notice a marked improvement as I went along. So at the beginning of the year, I was finishing somewhere around P20, but towards the end, I was competing for a place in the Top Ten.

What did you learn as far as driving goes from taking part in the ADAC Formula 4, and where will we be seeing you in 2016?

In my first year in ADAC Formula 4, it was mainly about learning how to drive formula cars, because my background is more in touring car racing. Consequently, this season has been an excellent springboard for my future career. As regards next year, I hope to be competing in ADAC Formula 4 again.
