ADAC Formel 4·2.12.2015

Michelle Halder's season : Has met goals for this season

What was your personal highlight of 2015?

The highlight of my season was the first race at the Sachsenring, where I secured my best finish of the year. I could have achieved even more than a place in the Top 20, had my start been better. I secured a similar result in the third race during the finale at the Hockenheimring.

What goals did you set yourself before the start of the season, and would you say in retrospect that you attained them?

My aim at the start of the season was to improve with every session and from race to race. That was important to me in my development as an ADAC Formula 4 driver. I've learned a lot about setup, for example, how exerting different pressures on the brakes affects braking behaviour. That has allowed me to consistently improve my lap times, so I attained my goals for this season.

What did you learn as far as driving goes from taking part in the ADAC Formula 4, and where will we be seeing you in 2016?

I was still in karting last year, and it was only in March that I drove a formula racing car for the first time. I wasn't able to spend many days testing, so I've learned a great deal this year, especially about how to tackle a scrap. Besides, a 30-minute formula race is physically much more demanding than a kart race. I've also been very touched by the support I've received from fans and the team. I guess I'll contest another ADAC Formula 4 season next year.
