Race Performance: New programme in ADAC Formula 4: Niederhauser and Valente als drivers

The Swiss racing team Race Performance starts with two cars in the ADAC Formula 4 and its new programme focuses on promoting junior talent. Co-owner Urs Meier signed on two youngsters Marylin Niederhauser and Alain Valente. In order to prepare its return to the European Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours, the racing team starts - parallel to a debut in the Formula Series - at the end of the year in the Asian Le Mans Series.

'I feel very confident about our talented new drivers' says Urs Meier, looking forward to the coming season. 'Marylin and Alain are highly motivated and eager to show what they're made of. We want to offer these young pilots a chance to develop and the very experienced team Race Performance with its qualified environment is ideal. The ADAC Formula 4 is perfect for our new programme.' In the last few years, Race Performance started successfully in the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the European Le Mans Series.

Alain Valente contests the second season in a Formula Series. The young man from Bern, who began his career in karting in 2004, had already attracted attention last year. The junior driver made a triumphant leap into Formula sport with 6 podium positions. Alain Valente is optimistic: 'My aims with Race Performance are quite clear. Together, we want to walk off with racing victories and help fight for the championship. The newly organized ADAC Formula 4 certainly provides a fantastic basis. I'm really looking forward to my role and I'd like to say a very big thank you to my new team for their trust in me and this chance to prove myself.'

Female racing driver Marylin Niederhauser completes the Swiss team. The young Swiss woman, who over several years has earned recognition in karting, is enthusiastic. 'I can hardly wait and am really excited'. She completed her first training session laps in a Formula car. 'The change from karting is challenging. Right from the beginning, you do have more respect, but it's great fun and I'm eager to see what the new Series brings. I'll do my very best.'
