ADAC Formel 4·6.11.2015

Tim Zimmermann's season: Instructive switch to ADAC Formula 4

What was your personal highlight of 2015?

I found the season quite tough, so I would regard the podium finish at the Red Bull Ring as my personal highlight. I kept my second place on the grid in the second race. That was a great success.

What goals did you set yourself before the start of the season, and would you say in retrospect that you attained them?

I set myself clear goals before the start of the season. I intended to win races and become champion, neither of which I achieved, unfortunately. I came very close to winning at the Red Bull Ring. It almost worked out for me in the second race. When all is said and done, the race winner was less than a second up on me in the end.

What did you learn as far as driving goes from taking part in the ADAC Formula 4, and where will we be seeing you in 2016?

You never stop learning with every lap as a driver. I contested my first formula racing season last year and switched to a different single-seater racing car for the first time this year. I learned a lot from that. I don't yet know where I'll be heading next year. Possibly to America or even Japan?
