Five young racing drivers, one goal - finding their way into Formula 1. Starting Saturday, January 30th, five young drivers from ADAC junior series will be in the spotlight in a television documentary produced for KiKa, the children's channel of ARD and ZDF. A number of drivers have principal roles in the television series produced by SWR. They include ADAC Sports Foundation protégée Michelle Halder (16), Jannes Fittje (16) and Sophia Flörsch (15), who will debut in the 'high-speed' motor racing academy in 2016, plus kart drivers Patricija Stalidzane (13) and Doureid 'Dodo' Ghattas (13). "I have to say that filming with the team was really fun, and I can't wait to see how the series turns out," said Fittje with reference to his television appearance. The first extended documentary about young racing drivers in karting and formula motor racing will be broadcast on KiKa from January 30th until April 2nd in ten episodes on Saturdays at the regular time of 5:20pm.

Triumphs and defeats in a life played out between racetrack and school. The 'Pole Position' TV documentary takes a close look behind the scenes as youngsters strive to become racing driver and is full of emotion and excitement. Filming for the ten episodes took place last year at the ADAC Formula 4 and at the ADAC Kart Masters with the two kart drivers, Stalidzane and Ghattas. The focus of the documentary set against the backdrop of the hustle and bustle of motor racing is on the young people, their families and their great dream of becoming professional racing drivers. The second ADAC Formula 4 season gets under way on the weekend of April 15th- 17th, 2016 in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The ADAC High-Speed Academy will stage seven race weekends under the banner of the ADAC GT Masters and will also participate in the joint fixture to be staged by the ADAC GT Masters and the DTM at the Lausitzring. Television partner SPORT1 will broadcast the races live on television and online.

The ADAC Formula 4 will again rely on the services of tried and trusted partners for the 2016 season using racing cars with chassis from Italian manufacturer Tatuus and Abarth turbocharged engines. Italian premium tyre manufacturer Pirelli, who are well-known from Formula 1 and ADAC GT Masters, and Motec will supply the ADAC Formula 4.
