The 2016 ADAC Formula 4 championship has a new Aussie driver: Jordan Love (17, Australia, SMC Schwärzler Motorsport Concepts) will take part at the last race weekend in Hockenheim (30th September until 2nd October) as a guest driver. "We met Jordan at the Asiacup and the Formula 4 SEA a couple of years ago. We are really looking forward to how he will be doing over here", says Tobias Schwärzler, SMC Team Manager. "We really appreciate the opportunity to let Jordan drive our car at the last event of ADAC Formula 4 in Hockenheim."
Love is currently racing in CAMS JAYCO F4 Australia with BRM Motorsport as well as in the new Formula 4 SEA. He is currently ranked second in the Australian Championship and is leading the F4 SEA after the first event in Sepang. "I am really excited and looking forward to the ADAC Formula 4 which is going to be my première on a German race track. So far I only know Hockenheim from TV. The ADAC F4 championship is the strongest F4 series worldwide and I am very proud to get the opportunity to race as a guest driver in Hockenheim. SMC is doing very well and I am looking forward to working with the guys. They are offering a perfect environment", says Jordan Love.
After Luis Leeds last year, Jordan Love is the second driver from Australia who works with SMC. Meanwhile, Luis Leeds got signed as a RedBull Junior driver and races in the Formula 4 UK very successfully.
It is now very important for Love to get familiar with the new Tatuus-Chassis and the F4 series in Germany in general. "It is essential for me to learn very fast in order to become successful. I know the German series only from Sport1 livestream."
"Of course it will be a challenge for us and for Jordan. He has to get used to the new car, new people and a new circuit. Unfortunately, we have only one day to test, but we are very well prepared and very excited", SMC Team Manager Benjamin Schwärzler mentioned.
