Comebacks and team merry-go-round: Changes in line-up fo Brezina and Niederhauser

In the nail-biting run-up to the final weekend of the 2016 ADAC Formula 4 season at the Hockenheimring (30th September - 2nd October), the starting field has seen some changes. With less than a week to go, 38 contestants have registered for Races 22, 23 and 24 of the championship.

Robin Brezina (17, Germany) has a new team. Having so far competed as a privateer, he is joining forces with Rennsport Rössler where he replaces Marylin Niederhauser (21, Switzerland). The 21-year-old Swiss meanwhile switches to a Lechner Racing cockpit for the Hockenheim weekend. At the same time, Michael Waldherr (19, Germany) has left the Austrian outfit for Team Motopark.

As well as Brezina, whose last outing was at the Lausitzring, four other juniors are making a return to the competition: Ricardo Feller (16, Switzerland, ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.), Andreas Estner (16, Germany, RS Competition) Diego Ciantini (18, Argentina, Jenzer Motorsport) and Giacomo Bianchi (16, Switzerland, Jenzer Motorsport).

Current championship leader Joey Mawson (20, Australia, Van Amersfoort Racing) will have company from Down Under on the ADAC Formula 4 grid at Hockenheim in the shape of Jordan Love (17, Australia, SMC Schwaerzler Motorsport Concepts) who is making his debut appearance in the ADAC High Speed Academy as a guest driver.
