Gold racing driver's boot for Mick Schumacher: Award for ADAC Formula 4 championship runner-up in Essen

Award for ADAC Formula 4 championship runner-up Mick Schumacher rounds off his motor racing season. Editor-in-chief Bianca Garloff presented a gold racing driver's boot to Schumacher on Friday evening during the 15th Race Night run by Auto Bild Motorsport and Auto Bild Sportscar at the Essen Motor Show. Schumacher received the award for best junior racing driver. Schumacher is looking to move to Formula 3 after two years in the ADAC Formula 4. "I've already done some testing in Formula 3, but we've still not yet taken a decision about lining up in Formula 3 next year," said Schumacher as he accepted his trophy on stage.

A second driver from the ADAC formula racing series for juniors also received a major honour on Friday evening. Maximilian Günther, ADAC Junior Motor Sports Person of 2016 and Formel ADAC championship runner-up in 2013 and 2014, came out top in the Deutsche Post Speed Academy. Günther wins prize money to the tune of 65,000 euros.
