The starting grid for the ADAC Formula 4 races at Sachsenring is complete. Michael Waldherr (19, DEU, Lechner Racing) won the quali at the demanding circuit, coming home in front of Lirim Zendeli (16, DEU, ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV) and Luca Engstler (16, DEU, Liqui Moly Team Engstler). Michelle Halder (16, DEU, Liqui Moly Team Engstler) was in P14 when she retired and did not qualify for the races in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. The qualifying was held to decide positions 23 to 35 on the grid for the first race on Saturday afternoon (live on SPORT1 at 4:45 pm).
Grid positions one to 22 for the first two of three races were determined during qualifying on Friday afternoon. Kim Luis Schramm (18, DEU, US Racing) and Mick Schumacher (17, DEU, Prema Powerteam) are on pole in the first two races. The second race takes place on Sunday morning (live on SPORT1+ at 11.20 am). The third race gets under way on Sunday afternoon (live on SPORT1+ at 3:40 pm).
