David Schumacher, the son of ex-Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher and nephew of record Formula 1 world championship winner Michael Schumacher, completed his first test in a Formula 4 car at the Lausitzring. The junior drove a racing car prepared by US Racing and was thrilled by the many new experiences.

"I'm very pleased with my first Formula 4 test with US Racing," is what the 16-year-old wrote on his Facebook page," Thanks for all the good work!" Leon Köhler and Marius Zug also took part in testing.

David's cousin, Mick, was a competitor in the ADAC Formula 4 during the last two seasons, finishing championship runner-up in 2016 behind Joey Mawson (Australia, Van Amersfoort Racing). Mick Schumacher has been busy contesting the Formula 3 European championship this year.
