Felipe Drugovich quickest on first day of testing: Brazilian leads two of the three ADAC Formula 4 test sessions held so far

Brazilian driver Felipe Drugovich (16, Van Amersfoort Racing) set the pace at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the first day of ADAC Formula 4 testing. The 16-year-old took the lead in two out of three sessions, and his time of 1:26.247 minutes from the afternoon session was also the best of Monday’s three stints. The ADAC High-Speed Academy will stage three more sessions on Tuesday before the serious business begins in just three weeks’ time when the ADAC Formula 4 kicks off its third season at the same Oschersleben venue (28th - 30th April).

Apart from Drugovich, Jonathan Aberdein (19, South Africa, Motopark) and the only female driver in the field, Sophia Flörsch (16, Germany, ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV were also very quick. Aberdein set best time in the second session (1:26.481) and finished in the Top Three in all three sessions. Flörsch, who lined up for the Oschersleben-based team Motopark last year, placed three times in the Top Ten, as did Juri Vips (16, Estonia, Prema Powerteam).

Some 27 ADAC Formula 4 cars are taking part in testing which got under way this Monday morning with a three-and-a-half hour session, followed by two shorter stints (60/45 minutes). The three Tuesday sessions are scheduled to last 60 and 55 minutes respectively.
