Second practice: US Racing trio in lead: Hanses finishes ahead of Schramm and Scherer - Armstrong quicker than the other title contenders

Kerpen-based US Racing team dominated the second ADAC Formula 4 practice session at the Sachsenring. Heading up no less than three US Racing drivers, Julian Hanses (20, Germany) set the best time of 1:18.322 minutes, coming home in front of team-mates, Kim-Luis Schramm (20, Germany) and Fabio Scherer (18, Switzerland). This second session was much faster than the first had been in the morning when the track was still wet.

Marcus Armstrong (17, New Zealand, Prema Powerteam) finished fourth and was again faster than his two rivals for the title, Juri Vips (17, Estonia, Prema Powerteam) and Felipe Drugovich (17, Brazil, Van Amersfoort Racing), who placed sixth and twelfth respectively.

Rookie champion Nicklas Nielsen (20, Denmark, US Racing) was fifth. Louis Gachot (18, Great Britain, Van Amersfoort Racing) booked P7. David Malukas (15, USA, Motopark) was eighth, Frederik Vesti (15, Denmark, Van Amersfoort Racing) ninth and Leonard Hoogenboom (17, Netherlands, Motopark) tenth.
