The ADAC Formula 4 is finally back! The drivers in the ADAC high-speed school completed their first test session on Tuesday morning in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben as part of the official days of testing. Lirim Zendeli (18, Germany, USA Racing CHRS) set the best time in good conditions on a dry track and in sunshine. Zendeli, who is in his third ADAC Formula 4 season, needed 1:24.051 minutes on his fastest lap to finish ahead of Frederik Vesti (16, Denmark, Van Amersfoort Racing) and David Schumacher (16, Germany, US Racing CHRS).
The ADAC Formula 4 drivers will complete another six sessions at Oschersleben on Tuesday and Wednesday so as to be well prepared for the new season starting on 13th - 15th April in Oschersleben. SPORT1 will broadcast the ADAC Formula 4 races on TV.
David Schumacher, the son of ex-Formula 1 and DTM driver Ralf Schumacher, was best rookie. Finishing behind Schumacher Junior in positions four, five and six came Charles Weerts (17, Belgium, Van Amersfoort Racing), Andreas Estner (17, Germany, Neuhauser Racing) and Enzo Fittipaldi (16, Brazil, Prema Powerteam), the grandson of two-time Formula 1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi.
Rookie champion Mick Wishofer (18, Austria, US Racing CHRS), Tom Beckhäuser (19, Czech Republic, US Racing CHRS), Leonardo Lorandi (17, Italy, KDC Racing) and Liam Lawson (16, New Zealand, Van Amersfoort Racing) completed the Top Ten. Some 22 young motor racing talents in all went out on track this Tuesday morning. The drivers in the ADAC high-speed school will take part in two more sessions today at 1:20 and 4:30 pm.
