Racing for teams and drivers in the ADAC’s high-speed school taking place under the banner of the DTM this weekend in warm, spring-like conditions.
Lirim Zendeli (18, Germany, USA Racing CHRS) set the fastest time in this first ADAC Formula 4 practice session at Hockenheim. He currently heads the overall standings and was the fastest in Friday afternoon’s first session with a time of 1:41.928 minutes. Zendeli, who won the first two races at the season opener in Oschersleben, was a good half-second up on team-mate Mick Wishofer (18, Austria, US Racing CHRS).
Finishing behind the two driver from the Kerpen-based outfit came Frederik Vesti (16, Denmark, Van Amersfoort Racing), Liam Lawson (16, New Zealand, Van Amersfoort Racing), Enzo Fittipaldi (16, Brazil, Prema Theodore Racing) and Charles Weerts (17 , Belgium, Van Amersfoort Racing). Next was Niklas Krütten (15, Trier, ADAC Berlin Brandenburg e.V.) in seventh place followed by the three rookies, David Schumacher (16, Germany, USA Racing CHRS) and Gianluca Petecof (15, Brazil, Prema Theodore Racing), and Andreas Estner (17, Germany, Neuhauser Racing), who completed the Top Ten.
ADAC Formula 4 drivers will have their second practice session at 2.35 pm before qualifying at the Hockenheimring gets underway later this afternoon at 5:25 pm. SPORT1 will broadcast the races from this fourth season of the ADAC high-speed school live on TV.
