First time ever in the ADAC Formula 4! A small piece of motor racing history will be made at the weekend (13th - 15th April) when the ADAC's high-speed school starts its fourth season at Oschersleben. A pair of brothers will contest the ADAC Formula 4 for the first time ever. Andreas (17) and Sebastian Estner (15, both Germany) will line up for Austrian team Neuhauser Racing. Motor racing fans unable to get to the Motorsport Arena in Oschersleben at the weekend can follow the season opener on SPORT1.
Team Principal Hannes Neuhauser is keen to support the two brothers in all things technical but also attaches great importance to having a good relationship with his drivers. "We think it important for us to be friends with drivers and families and be on good terms," says Neuhauser: "Developing a harmonious relationship between team and driver is paramount when bringing on young talents and is essential. If the driver doesn't trust the team, you can forget it!"
Neuhauser intend to go all-out with the Estner brothers this year. While 17-year-old Andreas took part in 2016 and 2017, gaining valuable experience, his brother Sebastian is still only 15 and will be debuting as a rookie this season in the single-seater racing series for juniors.
Andreas Estner is the more prudent and analytically minded of the two while his brother Sebastian is a fighter through and through and more emotional. The two complement and support each other whenever they can. They couldn't be any more different, but you will just have to see for yourself out on the racetrack! They share a coomon goal, to achieve success and compete in the top class of motor racing in Formula 1, just like their big idols, Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg. They intend to take the first steps to achieving their aim in the ADAC Formula 4.
