Frederik Vesti (16, Denmark, Van Amersfoort Racing) posted the fastest lap in the second free practice session of the ADAC Formula 4 weekend at the Lausitzring. Vesti's time of 01:45.438 minutes was one and a half tenths superior to that of his team-mate Charles Weerts (17, Belgium). Completing the Van Amersfoort trio at the top of the timesheets was Liam Lawson (16, New Zealand), who had already posted fastest lap of the day in the first practice session. The same weather conditions prevailed as in the morning. Championship leader Lirim Zendeli (18, Germany, USA Racing CHRS) took fourth place ahead of team-mate Mick Wishofer (18, Austria) and Oliver Caldwell (15, United Kingdom, Prema Theodore Racing).
Best rookie was Gianluca Petecof (15, Brazil, Prema Theodore Racing) in seventh, followed by Enzo Fittipaldi (16, Brazil, Prema Theodore Racing), Andreas Estner (17, Germany, Neuhauser Racing) and Niklas Krütten (15, Germany, ADAC Berlin Brandenburg e.V.).
Friday culminates with qualifying for the ADAC Formula 4 weekend at 18:30 CEST. SPORT1 will be showing the races from the ADAC High-Speed Academy on TV.
