Ferrari Junior Gianluca Petecof (Prema Powerteam) came out on top at the end of the second ADAC Formula 4 practice session at Oschersleben and is now favourite to finish ahead in qualifying this afternoon. The Brazilian posted the fastest time of the weekend so far with a 1:23.642 and relegated the Norwegian Dennis Hauger (Van Amersfoort Racing) to second place. Hauger, who set the fastest time in first practice, was 0.105 seconds slower than Petecof. Ido Cohen (van Amersfoort Racing) took third place.
Fielded by championship-winning team US Racing CHRS, Arthur Leclerc secured fourth place in sunny conditions. The younger brother of Formula 1 shooting star Charles Leclerc missed best time by just under half a second. Leclerc's team-mate, Alessandro Ghiretti, finished fifth. Joshua Dürksen (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) was sixth, finishing just ahead of Niklas Krütten from Van Amersfoort Racing and Gregoire Saucy (R-ace GP). Prema's Paul Aron in P9 was best Rookie again as in FP1. Theo Pourchaire completed the Top Ten for US Racing CHRS.
The two qualifying sessions of the ADAC High-Speed Academy are next up on the schedule at 3.35 and 3.55 pm. The first of this weekend's three races will be held on Saturday while the other two rounds will be on Sunday. SPORT1 will broadcast the ADAC Formula 4 races live on TV.
