ADAC Formel 4·18.10.2019

Former ADAC Formula 4 drivers in Macau GP: Three Germans also in line-up, David Schumacher, Andreas Estner and David Beckmann

They are all there in alphabetical order, from Armstrong via Schumacher through to Vips. As of 17th October, exactly one month before the start of the 2019 Macau Grand Prix (14th - 17th November), some ten drivers who all began their careers in the ADAC Formula 4 have entered their names on the provisional list of starters, including David Beckmann (19, Germany), the Rookie champion from the 2015 inaugural season, the 2017 champion, Yuri Vips (Estonia), and Enzo Fittipaldi (Brazil), grandson of two-time Formula 1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi.

Three Germans are in the Macau line-up. Apart from Beckmann, who will race for Team Trident Motorsport, David Schumacher (17) will also have his first race outing at the Guia Circuit for Sauber Junior Team by Charouz. The son of ex-Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher and Rookie champion from the 2018 ADAC Formula 4 made his successful Formula 3 debut earlier this year.

Andreas Estner (19, Germany), who drives for Swiss outfit, Jenzer Motorsport is also set to race at Macau for the first time. Other drivers from the German series taking part include Marcus Armstrong and Liam Lawson (both from New Zealand), Felipe Drugovich (Brazil), Sebastian Fernandez (Spain) and Oliver Caldwell (Great Britain). Ten teams fielding 33 vehicles have already entered. Six grid slots are currently still available.

In 2018, British driver, Dan Ticktum, won the race from Joel Eriksson (Sweden), who finished runner-up at the end of the ADAC Formula 4's first season in 2015. Frenchman, Sacha Fenestraz, was third.
