Red Bull junior Dennis Hauger set fastest time again in second ADAC Formula 4 practice session at the Hockenheimring, making him favourite to secure pole in qualifying this afternoon. In temperatures of 25 degrees as the summer draws to a close, the 16-year-old Norwegian from Team Van Amersfoort Racing lapped the track in a time of 1:40.855 minutes to decisively beat his 1:41.281 from FP1 this morning.
Driving for US Racing CHRS, championship leader Théo Pourchaire followed him home in second place with a deficit of three-and-a-half tenths. Pourchaire’s team-mate, Arthur Leclerc, finished third. Joshua Dürksen ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV in P4 was best Rookie again.
Qualifying for the juniors in the ADAC High-Speed Academy starts at 5.55 pm and will decide our pole-sitters for the weekend’s first two races in two sessions. The top eight drivers from the second race will start the third race on Sunday afternoon in reverse order.
