Dennis Hauger (Van Amersfoort Racing) finished top of the timesheets in ADAC Formula 4 first practice at the Hockenheimring. Under a clear blue sky in temperatures of around 20 degrees, the 16-year-old Norwegian clocked a time of 1:41.281 minutes and was just a fraction quicker than overall championship leader, Théo Pourchaire from US Racing CHRS. The Russian Michael Belov fielded by R-ace GP followed them home in third place. Arthur Leclerc (US Racing CHRS) is second overall in the standings but finished fifth behind rookie Joshua Dürksen (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.).
Pourchaire has a 53-point lead as the penultimate race weekend of the season gets under way. Second practice for the juniors in the ADAC High-Speed Academy is next up at 1.25 pm. Qualifying is at 5.55 pm. The trainee drivers will fight for valuable points in a total of three races this Saturday and Sunday.
