ADAC Formel 4·9.4.2019

US Racing CHRS will field four drivers this season: Team Principal, Ralf Schumacher: Our four drivers are very talented

Championship-winning team US Racing CHRS will go on the attack with four new drivers in this season’s ADAC Formula 4. Arthur Leclerc (18, Monaco), the brother of Formula 1 shooting star Charles Leclerc, Theo Pourchaire (15, France), Alessandro Ghiretti (17, France) and Roman Stanek (15, Czech Republic) will line up for the outfit run by Gerhard Ungar and Ralf Schumacher.

“Arthur, Roman, Theo and Alessandro are very talented. We should certainly see plenty of exciting racing from our US Racing CHRS drivers this season,” said Ralf Schumacher. And Gerhard Ungar added: “We are very pleased to have four talented, well motivated drivers in our squad once again this year. We’ve done a lot of testing and think we’re well prepared for the 2019 ADAC Formula 4 season.”

US Racing CHRS won all three titles last year. Lirim Zendeli (19, Germany) was crowned supreme champion, Ralf Schumacher’s son David (17, Germany) secured the Rookie title, and the outfit also won the team classification.

Pourchaire and Leclerc raced in French Formula 4 in 2018 while Ghiretti successfully contested the Southeast Asian Formula 4. The three of them will be starting their second year in Formula 4. Stanek, though, is contesting his rookie season.

Arthur Leclerc, whose brother Charles took his maiden podium just recently in the Formula 1 race in Bahrain, referred to the ADAC Formula 4 as a “competitive series” and therefore “the ideal preparation for single-seater racing,” and added: “I’m really looking forward to the season and the many new circuits on the calendar.”

The fifth season of the ADAC Formula 4 starts on the weekend of 26th - 28th April in Oschersleben. Sport1 will broadcast racing from the ADAC High-Speed Academy on TV. The races can also be watched online as livestream.
