17-year-old William Alatalo set the first fastest time of the day to get the second ADAC Formula 4 race weekend under way at the Red Bull Ring. He was the fastest of the 25 drivers this Friday morning with a time of 1:31.222 minutes. Conditions were ideal, bright sunshine and temperatures of around 20 degrees as German driver Niklas Krütten came home in P2 and the Norwegian, Dennis Hauger, finished third.
Second practice is next up this Friday at 1 pm. Qualifying for races four, five and six will be at 5.50 pm. SPORT1 will broadcast the ADAC Formula 4 races live on TV. Gianluca Petecof (Brazil), the winner of the first race of the season at Oschersleben, finished fifth. Czech teenager Roman Stanek followed him home in seventh place and was also best Rookie. Arthur Leclerc, the brother of Formula 1 shooting star Charles Leclerc, set the tenth best time of this first session.
