Dino Beganovic will line up for Prema Powerteam this season and make his Formula 4 debut in 2020. He will contest all races in the Italian Formula 4 series and also compete in certain ADAC Formula 4 races for the famous Italian outfit. Season 6 in the ADAC series for juniors will get under way on the weekend of 24th-26th April. Seven race weekends featuring 21 rounds are calendared for 2020. SPORT1 will broadcast all races. Racing can also be watched online as live stream on various digital platforms.
Beganovic began his karting career in 2011. He made the big breakthrough in 2018 and triumphed again in 2019, winning the Swedish championship twice in a row. He has also enjoyed success internationally, finishing second in the 2019 WSK Euro Series. He now intends to take his motor racing career to the next level during the 2020 season. While making his debut in a single seater, he will continue to receive support as a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
"Dino has really impressed us so far, and we are looking forward to setting him on the right path as he makes his debut in competitive formula motor racing," said Team Principal, Angelo Rosin. "He is a very promising, young driver, so he's a perfect candidate for Prema Powerteam."
Beganovic, too, can hardly wait to make his debut: "This is a fantastic opportunity. I can't thank the Ferrari Driver Academy enough and really couldn't wish for a better outfit than Prema. They have been the dominant force in recent years and not just in Formula 4, but in Formula 3 and Formula 2 as well. This is exactly the sort of experience I need in my rookie year. I know there will be a lot to learn, but I felt comfortable in the F4 car right from the start and have the support of the best people possible."
