The ongoing coronavirus crisis has obliged the ADAC Formula 4 organisers to make drastic adjustments to the series calendar. They still plan to hold seven race weekends as planned, but the season will now commence in August. Whether ADAC Formula 4 will be contested in the framework of the first weekend of the revised 2020 ADAC GT Masters (1st/2nd August) or wait until the second fixture at the Nürburgring has not yet been decided.

ADAC Formula 4 will race at the Nürburgring, Zandvoort, Hockenheim, Red Bull Ring and at Oschersleben as part of the ADAC GT Masters support programme. The series will also share the billing with the ADAC TOTAL 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (25th - 27th September). A seventh race weekend in the context of the ADAC GT Masters is under consideration.
