The young Dane and the Italian racing team have joined forces for season seven of ADAC Formula 4. Together, they have set their sights on achieving success at a high level.
As well as racing in Italian Formula 4, Conrad Laursen (15, Denmark) will also contest selected races in the German Formula series with Prema Powerteam this year.
Laursen demonstrated his outstanding talent in 2020, when he won the title in the Danish Renault F4 series in dominant fashion, claiming two victories and finishing on the podium in eight of the season’s nine races. On the back of this success, the Danish Automobile Sports Federation named the 15-year-old its “Talent of the Year”.
A solid career on the karting circuit was followed at the end of 2020 by Laursen’s first tests with the Italian team. It soon became clear to everyone that the Danish youngster is ready to make his debut in one of the world’s most competitive Formula 4 championships.
Prema team principal Angelo Rosin is also of this opinion: “After the tests together at the end of 2020, we were very impressed. I am confident that Conrad has what it takes to be successful at a high level in his first season in the championship. We are looking forward to seeing his progress,” said Rosin.
The young Dane is “very proud and happy to be part of Prema Powerteam. That was always my goal. I am sure that this is the best place to develop as a driver. I can hardly wait to get started and am sure that we will achieve some fantastic results together,” said Laursen, whose partner AF Corse UK has made the cooperation possible.
