ADAC Formula 4·3.3.2021

Schedule changes for ADAC Formula 4

Season-opener on 24th/25th April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Dates coordinated with Italian Formula 4 Championship.

ADAC Formula 4 has made changes to its schedule for the 2021 season. The junior series kicks off its season at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben as originally planned. However, the season-opener has been delayed to 24th/25th April, when it will form part of the ADAC Racing Weekend. In delaying the start of the season, ADAC Formula 4 is avoiding any schedule clashes with the Formula 4 Championship in Italy and thus allowing teams and drivers to race in both championships.

ADAC Formula 4 will also make two appearances at the former Formula 1 circuit in Hockenheim. The ADAC’s high-speed school lines up there on 18th/19th September, also as part of the ADAC Racing Weekend, when it shares the bill with the likes of ADAC TCR Germany. The second race weekend in Hockenheim replaces the races originally scheduled for the Lausitzring in September. The remaining five race weekends will be held at ADAC GT Masters events as planned. In total, five of the seven ADAC Formula 4 race weekends will take place at Grand Prix circuits.

Before the opening round of the season in Oschersleben at the end of April, the ADAC Formula 4 drivers head to the same venue for the official pre-season test, which is held ahead of the season-opener, from 19th to 21st April.
