Tramnitz hits form with fastest time in second practice session

ADAC Stiftung Sport driver Tim Tramnitz (16, Hamburg, US Racing) set the fastest time in the second ADAC Formula 4 practice session at the Hockenheimring. The young man from Hamburg’s time of 1:40.257 minutes proved to be unbeatable, setting him up nicely for this evening’s qualifying.

Championship leader Oliver Bearman (16, Great Britain, Van Amersfoort Racing) was second fastest, 0.869 seconds behind Tramnitz. 35 points currently separate the two title contenders in the championship. In third place, 0.225 seconds off the fastest time, was Alex Dunne (15, Ireland, US Racing), who was the fastest rookie in FP2.

The conditions were better than those in the first session on Friday morning. With temperatures around the 11-degree mark, the young drivers in the high-speed school enjoyed excellent conditions. On the whole, the second session was significantly faster than FP1 this morning.

The talented youngsters must now use the short break to prepare as well as possible for qualifying at 16:45. Races 13 to 15 of the season take place on Saturday (12:00) and Sunday (09:40 and 14:15).
