ADAC GT Masters features attractive calendar in 2012

ADAC is setting the agenda for the 2012 motorsport season early on. At the ADAC Masters Weekends season finale at Hockenheim (30 September to 2 October) ADAC will present an attractive calendar for the 2012 ADAC GT Masters season. In 2012, eight events in Germany and neighbouring countries are scheduled again, featuring a total of 16 races.

2012 season opener again to be held at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben

The season opener of the sixth ADAC GT Masters season held as part of the ADAC Masters Weekend is traditionally planned for 13 to 15 April 2012 at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The ADAC Masters Weekend with the super sportscars from the ADAC GT Masters will also visit the Sachsenring and the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. After the successful premiere of the ADAC GT Masters as part of the 2011 ADAC Truck Grand Prix 2011 at the Nürburgring in front of a total crowd of 212,000 spectators (throughout the weekend) the "Super Sportscar League" will again be held at the "Truckers' Festival" in the "Eifel". Fans, teams and drivers of all the permanent ADAC Masters Weekend series can also look forward to returning to the Red Bull Ring in Austria next year. For all the series of the ADAC Masters Weekend, the Grand Prix circuit of the Nürburgring and - for the first time - the dune circuit at Zandvoort in The Netherlands are scheduled as further venues. Like this year, the 2012 season finale will be held at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg.

"We are pleased to be able to present a provisional calendar for the 2012 season as early as the end of this season," says ADAC Sport President Hermann Tomczyk. "In addition to the events of the ADAC Masters Weekend at all of the permanent race tracks in Germany, there will be two foreign rounds at the highly attractive Zandvoort and Red Bull Ring circuits. The events of the ADAC GT Masters and Formel ADAC as part of the ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring in front of a fantastic audience will no doubt be a highlight for the fans. The highly positive trend in participant and spectator statistics shows that we have put together an attractive package for fans and drivers. We want to continue this trend next year and look forward to welcoming a large number of fans on location again in 2012."
