Huge interest for ADAC GT Masters season 2012

Interest in the ADAC GT Masters remains at a high level for the 2012 season. Competitors have now had the opportunity to register for a few days for the upcoming season which starts on the weekend 13 to 15 April 2012 at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Even at this early stage the ADAC can boast enormous interest grid positions. 15 teams fielding a total of 28 cars have already registered for the forthcoming season in the 'league of super sports cars'. In the process they benefit from the extremely attractive conditions offered to ADAC teams registered before 30 November 2011.

Among the 28 GT racers, which fans can look forward to seeing 140 days before the season opener in the Magdeburger Börde, are spectacular newcomers. In 2012 the eagerly awaited McLaren MP4/12C celebrates is race premiere in the 'league of super sports cars' along with the big block Chevrolet Camaro US sports car legend. It is not only the new cars contesting the ADAC GT Masters in 2012 that appear so inspirational but also the range of brands that is unparalleled. In addition to the McLaren and Chevrolet other super sports cars such as the Corvette Z06, Ferrari 458 Italia, Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and Porsche 911 are registered. The ADAC expects other brands to join and expects a grid with around ten different manufacturers.

Only 36 of the 44 grid slots available are allocated

Interested teams still have the opportunity to benefit from the reduced registration fee for the 2012 season before the 30 November 2011. However, time is of the essence as only 36 of the 44 grid slots available are allocated for the forthcoming season. The remaining eight slots are reserved for other attractive newcomers and teams, which are currently working on their plans for 2012, by the ADAC up to the close of registration on 1 March 2012. Registration for the ADAC GT Masters is only possible online.

The ADAC GT Masters stages 16 races again in 2012 on seven ADAC Masters Weekends and as support event for the ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. The eight events each consisting of two races are held on permanent race tracks in Germany and at the Red Bull Ring in Austria and in Zandvoort, Holland and are broadcast live on television again.
