Good start to the final ADAC GT Masters weekend at Hockenheim for championship hopeful Christian Engelhart who is placed second in the standings, and for Swen Dolenc, the leader in the amateur category. Fastest time in FP1 early this Friday morning went to the Porsche 911 GT3 R of Swen Dolenc and Martin Ragginger (FACH AUTO TECH). Christian Engelhart/Sean Edwards (Team Geyer & Weinig IT / Schütz Motorsport) followed them home, just 0.055 seconds behind in another Porsche 911 GT3 R. Robert Renauer and Nicolas Armindo (FROGREEN CO2 neutral) completed the Porsche trio at the head of the field.
The Audi R8 LMS ultra of Edwards Sandström and Christopher Mies (Prosperia uhc speed) was the fastest car other than a Porsche in first practice, which was run in perfect conditions, ahead of the quickest Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 with Maximilian Buhk and Andreas Simonsen (HEICO Junior Team).
Championship leaders Diego Alessi and Daniel Keilwitz were sixth in the Corvette Z06.R GT3, and Sebastian Asch/Maximilian Götz in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 (kfzteile24 MS RACING team), placed third in the standings, came home in seventh position.
Toni Seiler/Frank Kechele (Callaway Competition) in a Corvette, Claudia Hürtgen/Dominik Schwager (Schubert Motorsport) in the BMW Z4 GT3 and Lance David Arnold/Alexandros Margaritis in a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 (SCHÖNER WOHNEN Polarweiss Team HEICO) completed the Top Ten.
