Audi have been busy updating the R8 LMS ultra introduced this year for 2013. Compared to the current model, the evolution version of the most successful sports car to date in the ADAC GT Masters with 16 victories will sport many changes, especially as regards treatment of the rear end; Audi have completely reworked aerodynamics to the rear, equipping the mid-engine sports car with a large rear diffuser and a modified rear wing.

Some minor cosmetic changes to the front end of the evolution version have also been made after Audi's recent facelift of the production R8.

Quattro GmbH will commence deliveries of the Audi R8 LMS ultra Evolution to customers in February 2013. The revamped Audi will, of course, appear on the grid in next season's ADAC GT Masters.

The Audi R8 LMS has secured a total of 16 victories since its 2009 debut in the ADAC GT Masters. René Rast and Chris Mamerow took the Audi to its most recent win during last July's Truck Grand Prix weekend at the Nürburgring.
