The winning car of the 2011 ADAC GT Masters Amateur class, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ from Reiter Engineering, is to be auctioned off in Monaco for the benefit of a charity.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ (Chassis number 09825) driven by Marc A. Hayek alongside the 2010 ADAC GT Masters champion Peter Kox, which won the 2011 Amateur class, will be part of the auction at the RM Auctions auction house in Monaco on 12th May. Hayek enjoyed six wins in the Amateur standing in the Gallardo during the 2011 season, and made a total of nine visits to the Amateur podium.

The Blancpain Lamborghini will be auctioned for the benefit of the Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy (AMM). 100 percent of the auction proceeds will go to the AMM, which works in the fights against Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare form of muscular atrophy.

The Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies -AMM was established in 2001 with the goal of supporting research into the causes and possible cure for the Duchenne muscle wasting disease through financial donations. In addition, the AMM supports Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) which enables sick children, teenagers and adults with the genetic disease to lead better lives. The work of the AMM aims to create a better awareness in society of this fatal disease and allow for better integration of those affected.

Blancpain was the first watch manufacturer to support the Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy. Over the last decade, the Swiss manufacturer based in Le Brassus, has worked to promote the AMM in a variety of different ways. Recently, Blancpain donated a unique watch for the AMM organized "Only Watch" auction in September 2011.
