ADAC GT Masters·30.3.2012

Comments after practice: I hope my winning streak continues in Oschersleben

Maxime Martin (# 1 BMW ALPINA B6 GT3), pole position in Race 2:

"My first race this year and my first pole! When I last contested the ADAC GT Masters three years ago, I won both races and I hope this series of wins can continue. Whilst our opponents might not yet have got things sorted this weekend, we've done our homework thoroughly. The new Yokohama tyres performed well today, and now I can't wait to see how they'll hold up under race conditions."

Toni Seiler (# 16 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3), grid position 17 in Race 1:

"We are pleased with our qualifying result. We had a few small teething problems in the practice sessions, but the Corvette ran smoothly in qualifying. The car is still very new but has made a good first impression on me."

Christer Jöns (# 21 Prosperia uhc speed Audi R8 LMS ultra), pole position in Race 2:

"I waited a while at the start and was reluctant to go out, but then light drizzle began to fall so I went out onto the track. I was lucky with traffic and was able to find some gaps. I used the tyres to good effect. I was getting a little concerned towards the end when the opposition got very close to my time, but fortunately I'd done enough. Securing pole is a great start for the new team

Andreas Wirth (# 27 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3), grid position four in Race 1:

"My qualifying was solid and ok. Things seemed a little better in the second qualifying session, though, given the track conditions. Our goal in both races is to finish in the points and come home in the top six."

Sascha Bert (#37 Gemballa racing-McLaren MP4-12C), grid position 15 in Race 1:

"We're satisfied with our performance and have no cause for any regrets. We feel we have got the maximum out of the package we've brought with us. But we're really not sure where we stand with regard to our ballast weight and the short-term changes we've made to our restrictors."

Alex Müller (Molitor Racing McLaren MP4/12C GT3), grid position 33 in Race 1:

"We certainly need to do some further work on the car and on the setup. As the driver, I have to admit that I could maybe have been a couple of tenths faster. But that's not enough to explain the gap between us and the leaders. The McLaren seems to react very sensitively to weight, and unfortunately, we have a lot of that on board. There obviously need to be changes made to the McLaren to bring it in line with the classification."

Johannes Stuck (# 32 Young Driver AMR Aston Martin DBR9), grid position 27 in Race 2:

The car is really good and we've made solid progress during the day. We're hoping that we have good consistent race pace and can post two respectable results. Because of the vehicle classification, though, we have a top speed deficit of around 20 km/h on the straights, and the other drivers just seem to sail past. But we're not going to complain. At the start of the 2011 season, we were lucky with the vehicle classification; unfortunately, things are looking less good this weekend."
