Comments after qualifying: Reactions from the paddock

Christian Engelhart (Team Geyer & Weinig EDV - Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), Pole Position, Race 1:

"I didn't go out on track until fairly late on and had a long drift on the last turn of my fastest lap, but everything was OK. We have the perfect platform for success with pole and Nick's second place on the grid for Race Two. Now we just have to finish the race in the positions in which we started. But there's 120 minutes racing still to come."

Martin Ragginger (#15 FACH AUTO TECH, Porsche 911 GT3 R), pole position, Race 2:

"Swen Dolenc turned in a really strong performance in the first qualifying session. My lap was pretty much perfect too, although Christian Abt blocked my progress somewhat at the end at the final chicane. We've worked for this pole the whole season, so I'm happy for the entire team that it has all worked out. Now we have to push hard for our first podium finish."

Dino Lunardi (#1 ALPINA, BMW ALPINA B6 GT3), grid position 16, Race 1:

"My qualifying was not at all good. I got it completely wrong today."

Maxime Martin (#1 ALPINA, BMW ALPINA B6 GT3), grid position four, Race 2:

"It went better than expected. We changed some things on the car during the break between the two qualifying sessions. Sweet!"

Sebastian Asch (#5 kfzteile24 MS RACING Team, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3):

"I had a problem at the start with the traction control coming in too early. The session had finished by the time we were able to reset it."

Daniel Dobitsch (#4 kfzteile24 MS RACING Team, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), grid position 19, Race 2:

"Actually, my qualifying was OK. I made an error on my fastest lap that cost me three tenths, for sure."

Daniel Keilwitz (#28 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), grid position eight, Race 2:

"Since I didn't post a single lap in the dry during practice, I'm pleased with my performance. On my last flying lap, it would have been enough for a P5 start, but then I went over the gravel."

Ferdinand Stuck (#32 Young Driver AMR, Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), grid position 23, Race 1:

"Qualifying was very tough as we didn't get to drive in practice. Even where setup is concerned, we are still far off what might be possible. An altogether disappointing result. "

Nicolas Armindo (#29 FROGREEN CO2 neutral, Porsche 911 GT3 R), grid position three, Race 2:

"I would have expected a bit more, but after our result at the Red Bull Ring, we had some success ballast on board. We will see what happens in the race. I hope that all goes well at the start and at the first turn, and that no one hits us."

Christoffer Nygaard (#33 Young Driver AMR, Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), grid position 24, Race 2:

"The kinematics on our car's suspension does not suit the tyres at all. We can't get the tyres to work properly, so we are down on power on the straights."

Karl Wendlinger (#42 Seyffarth Motorsport, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), grid position 27, Race 2:

"We are too slow generally. We are lacking 6 to 9 km/h on the straights. It is simply impossible in this evenly-matched, strong field to be up with the front-runners. But the team is still hard at it. I hope they find the cause. Also, we had a defective ABS sensor in qualifying which we were able to fix."

Dominik Schwager (#20 Schubert Motorsport, BMW Z4 GT3), grid position seven, Race 2:

"We're not too unhappy, because we are doing quite well, all things considered. But this time, we only came close to achieving our maximum. We made some changes to the car after my fastest lap in second qualifying, which improved things. Unfortunately, the tyres didn't have any more to give, and so my time remained about the same. If we'd had our present setup on the first attempt, then we might have gained one and a half tenths, which would have made grid position three or four a distinct possibility."

Jesse Krohn (#38 Lambda Performance, Ford GT), grid position 15, Race 1:

"I was just starting my second hot lap when I tried to overtake a slow-moving Lamborghini. It suddenly moved across to the inside and I had no chance to take evasive action and the car sustained damaged. At any rate, we're ready for a lot of overtaking tomorrow, because we certainly have one of the fastest cars in the field."
