Nick Tandy (#36 Team Geyer & Weinig / Schütz Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R), Winner: "It was a very tough 30-minute stint. Nicolas Armindo was all over me during the entire second half of the race and I knew that I had to be fast and yet at the same time not make any slipups. A pit stop that went like clockwork gave us the lead from third place and was the key to today's victory."
Christian Engelhart (#36 Team Geyer & Weinig / Schütz Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R), Winner: "I had problems getting the tyres back up to temperature after the two safety car periods during the initial start phase, but then came our mega pit stop, which was crucial."
Nicolas Armindo (# 29 FROGREEN CO2 neutral Porsche 911 GT3 R), P2: "There wasn't enough slipstream behind Nick Tandy to launch an attack. I settled for second place, since there was no way I was going to try to muscle my way past."
Mario Farnbacher (#6 Farnbacher ESET Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R), P3: "The first half of the race was OK, but we lost three seconds during the pit stop, unfortunately. We need to check what was behind it. But we couldn't match the speed of the two leaders in the second half of the race either. Third place is a great result for us here. The tables have finally turned and we have now shown that we can mix it with the front-runners."
Swen Dolenc (#15 FACH AUTO TECH Porsche 911 GT3 R), P4 and Winner in amateur championship: "I had a very good start, overtaking three opponents on the outside and then maintained my position. Martin Ragginger turned in a solid performance in the second half of the race. I'm very satisfied, fourth place is my best result so far in the ADAC GT Masters."
Georg Engelhardt (#25 Team GT3 Kasko Porsche 911 GT3 R), P15 and second place in the amateur championship: "I kept out of all the scuffles and held my position. Marco Seefried was then incredibly strong in the final phase and took us a long way up the field. Second place is my best result so far in the amateur championship."
Kristian Poulsen (#33 Young Driver AMR Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), P18 and third place in the amateur championship: "We didn't do too badly, considering our speed this weekend. But then the team brought me in for a pit stop a little too early, which cost us some positions in the end, because we got stuck in traffic."
Daniel Dobitsch (#4 kfzteile24 MS RACING Team Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), P11: "P11 is OK. We lack top speed, if we were just three or four km/h faster on the straights, then we'd be better able to attack."
Daniel Keilwitz (#28 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3), P6: "I had an easy race without any scraps. I overtook Frentzen directly after the pit stop but he then went by me on the last lap. The final result is OK, though, we're championship leaders once again and we intend securing even more points in Race 2."
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3), DNF: "We have a gremlin somewhere in the running gear and the rear axle is very twitchy. Frank Kechele had a bump and what's more, the belt that drives the engine's ancillary units went bang. We still have to see whether the two incidents are related."
Peter Kox (#24 InterNetX - Reiter Engineering-Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+), DNF: "Unfortunately, after today's accident at the first turn, we are not in a position to start tomorrow."
Bernhard Mühlner (Team Manager Mühlner Motorsport, Chevrolet Camaro). "Unfortunately, we had a problem with the car's electronics right at the start, the engine died and refused to fire up again. We reset the units and the engine barked back into life, so it was not a mechanical problem. We still have to find the cause, though."
Nico Verdonck (#38 Lambda Performance Ford GT), 10th: "Jesse Krohn fought back magnificently after a Mercedes SLS AMG rear-ended him at the start of the race, making him spin. Our pit stop strategy was very good and my stint was good too. Considering the problems we faced, we can be thoroughly satisfied with securing one point. In any case, the result is very encouraging for Sunday's race."
