Christian Engelhart (#36 Team Geyer & Weinig EDV - Schütz Motorsport-Porsche 911 GT3 R), Winner:
"It was a tough one today, and I'd already reconciled myself early on to finishing third or fourth; I had big problems because my tyres took a real beating and were in a pretty bad state by the end of the race. That said, though, I must have seemed like a brick wall to the people behind today. I'd already given up trying to get past Dolenc and was basically just driving for championship points. This weekend has gone like a dream."
Nick Tandy (#36 Team Geyer & Weinig EDV - Schütz Motorsport-Porsche 911 GT3 R), Winner:
"It was tough on the first few laps to defend our position at the head of the chasing pack. Essentially, though, our strategy was to keep the pressure on Swen Dolenc and force him to make a mistake. Our victory today was once again down to faultless teamwork. We didn't make a single mistake, we had no technical problems of any kind and our pit stops were flawlessly executed. Being well placed on the starting grid in both races was also a vital contributory factor to our success this weekend."
Dominik Schwager (#20 Schubert Motorsport-BMW Z4 GT3), Runner-up:
"I had a great start this race and managed to overtake a fair few drivers through the third and fourth corners. I couldn't keep this up, but it did mean that we managed to stay in touch with the front-runners for the rest of the race. We were fast enough to hold the course and defend our position, and we were also able to benefit from the bad luck of others. In the end, we closed the gap on the leading bunch because our tyres were in better shape. Unfortunately, the same was true for the rest of the field, so we came under a lot of pressure from behind. Despite this, Claudia did a great job defending second. It's definitely an unexpected result, but also a very welcome one. Now I'm hoping to repeat our performance in the next race and to have a say in the outcome of the championship."
Daniel Keilwitz (#28 Callaway Competition-Corvette Z06.R GT3), Third:
"I'm pleased with the podium finish, but the double victory for the Porsche team doesn't make our job any easier when it comes to the overall standings. We'll have to see what happens in the next race."
Diego Alessi (#28 Callaway Competition-Corvette Z06.R GT3), Third:
"Daniel's work in the first stint gave us the best possible advantage, because he went really easy on the tyres. The car was fast today, and I'm sure we could have done much better if it hadn't been for all the bad luck we had in free practice and qualifying. At the end of the day, my brakes were almost shot."
Andreas Simonsen (#9 HEICO Junior Team-Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), Fifth:
"We're very happy to come away with fifth and sixth this weekend. Our car went the distance today with no problems whatsoever, but we did have to push the Mercedes to its limit. A little more speed wouldn't go amiss."
Alexandros Margaritis (#10 SCHÖNER WOHNEN Polarweiss Team HEICO), Seventh:
"We had the necessary speed, but we weren't able to produce it in qualifying. At least we are consistently finishing among the points. But this car is capable of more - we just have to make sure that we get the best out of it in the remaining races."
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition-Corvette Z06.R GT3), Winner of amateur classification:
"Up to now, I think the Lausitzring has always brought me luck. On the last few laps, it was very close, but in the end I managed to pull away from Poulsen and cross the finish line just ahead of him. After problems on both Friday and Saturday, the Corvette ran beautifully today."
Kristian Poulsen (#32 Young Driver AMR-Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), P2 in amateur classification:
"My race was OK, and we did manage to improve from 24th on the grid to finish 15th, but we didn't have the speed to compete with the Top Ten."
René Bourdeaux (#26 Team GT3 Kasko-Porsche 911 GT3 R), P3 in amateur classification:
"Unfortunately, my team mate Alfred spun off the track when we were in third, which was, of course, a big disappointment in such a promising position. After that, I really pushed myself and fought as hard as I could to still make it onto the amateur podium. I closed the gap on my team-mate Georg Engelhardt, and after a satisfying scrap, I managed to get past him. I really couldn't be happier to come away with two podium finishes this weekend."
Dino Lunardi (#1 ALPINA-BMW ALPINA B6 GT3), 19th:
"We worked hard on the car this weekend and made a lot of progress today compared with the first race. The car performed better than yesterday, but unfortunately we sustained a puncture which affected our race. This has impacted negatively on our position in the standings because the gap between us and the top of the table has widened considerably. Even so, we were not giving up, and you'll see us back on the attack at the Nürburgring."
