Daniel Keilwitz (#28 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), Winner:
"We came out in front during the mêlée at the start of today's race. I got off the line really well, which enabled me to control the race. I tried to build up a small lead, so we would have a comfortable amount of time to pit. Diego then did a magnificent job of securing our win at the finish line. It's going to be very tough for us, though, at the finale in Hockenheim."
Diego Alessi (#28 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): Winner:
"Thanks to Daniel's great work and our brilliant Corvette, the race today was relatively easy for me. Our Corvette was almost perfect - we adjusted a few things from yesterday, so the car was even better to drive than on Saturday. We had a great race, without even a hint of a problem. I only needed to keep an eye on the engine. But we must give praise to our race engineer, Aart Andriessen, who has worked extremely hard in recent weeks."
Maxime Martin (#1 ALPINA BMW, ALPINA B6 GT3), Second:
"The Corvette has more torque than our engine, so I couldn't make use of pole position. I wasn't able to launch an attack on the Corvette, but I piled on the pressure, nevertheless; we were very much aware of the success ballast after our win yesterday. Dino got a result. The weekend was very good for us. Now we just have to pray for rain at Hockenheim, otherwise I can't see that we have much chance."
Dino Lunardi (#1 ALPINA BMW, ALPINA B6 GT3), Second:
"I had to stay on the tail of the Corvette while I was in P2, but at the same time I was under pressure from the Mercedes behind. I didn't get a chance to attack the Corvette, though. We're now back in contention for the championship, but we'll have a 50kg success ballast in Hockenheim."
Maximilian Götz (#5 kfzteile24 MS Racing Team, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG), Third:
"I got off to a bad start and was only seventh or eighth on the first lap - I was able to move up the field to P5 in the Dunlop Hairpin. I then outbraked Frentzen and kept P3 when Johannes Stuck moved over after I won a fair fight with him. We had to come third today, because otherwise we would have no chance in the battle for the championship."
Sebastian Asch (#5 kfzteile24 MS RACING Team, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), Third:
"We were hoping to gain a place in the pit stop, but the stopwatch that measures our time in the pits did not work, so we had to be careful. I was stuck behind the Alpina and was all over it, but at the same time, I had pressure from Stuck behind me. Our lap times were identical, so the gaps didn't change much."
Johannes Stuck (#32 Young Driver AMR, Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), Fourth:
"After my mistake in the race yesterday, the result today was down to a real team effort. The team really pulled out all the stops so that we could get a good start - you can't praise them enough. We had to miss the warm-up, and so weren't able to bed in the new brakes. That made a noticeable difference in the race, because the brakes were not at their best over the whole race distance. I was able to stay in contention but unable to push forwards."
Christopher Mies (#21 Prosperia uhc speed, Audi R8 LMS ultra), 26th:
"I had a good start and was already in P10 or 11 when Nick Tandy ran into me in the Dunlop Hairpin and the rear skirt began to rub the tyre. I then pushed hard up the field to the front. The car performed well and P10 would have been possible, but, unfortunately, Edward was sent spinning out two laps before the end."
Christian Mamerow (#40 Mamerow Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), Eighth:
"I started well, but it was not really a race, because we had to spend so much time defending ourselves. We didn't have any top speed, so we ended up having to defend ourselves against the competition even along the shortest straights. This is obviously very frustrating and not much fun."
Swen Dolenc (#15 FACH AUTO TECH, Porsche 911 GT3 R), Ninth and amateur class winner:
"I had a nice head-to-head with Christian Engelhart in the second half of the race. He kept up the pressure, but wasn't fast enough. I was able to find my rhythm after overtaking Martin Ragginger's Porsche and enjoyed the rest of the race. As far as the amateur class is concerned, I'd say I only gave it 95 percent today."
Kristian Poulsen (#33 Young Driver AMR, Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), 15th and second in the amateur class:
"Christoffer didn't start very well and lost a few places. We had to fight back to the front from the very rear of the field after he was spun. I'm not too happy with my performance. I wasn't fast enough this weekend and don't know exactly why."
