Comments after the second race: This is what the drivers said after Race 2 at the Red Bull Ring

Niclas Kentenich (# 6 Farnbacher ESET Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner: "I was seventh on the grid and got away really well at the start. I found a gap and was in fifth place by the end of the first lap. I was second just one lap later. I maintained second position but then lost a few places because the downforce on the rear axle was no longer right. We were gifted a victory today, but that's just the way it goes in motor racing."

Mario Farnbacher (# 6 Farnbacher ESET Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner: "I closed the gap on the Corvette in the final part of the race, but there was no way I could have overtaken. And then the Corvette went out and I went into the lead. Too bad for Keilwitz and Alessi, but it happens in racing. I didn't think we could win this weekend, so we're doubly pleased with the result."

Nicolas Armindo (# 29 FROGREEN CO2 neutral Porsche 911 GT3 R) second: "It was a very action-packed race and quite tough. We were fast and I made no mistakes. We were consistently second in both qualifying and in the race. It would be great if we could repeat that performance in the next race and even perhaps go up one position to finish first."

Robert Renauer (#29 FROGREEN CO2 neutral-Porsche 911 GT3 R) second: "I found it a rather boring race because I was clear of cars both to front and rear. I would have been very happy with third place, but of course, I was grateful for P2 after the Corvette went out."

Nico Verdonck (# 38 Lambda Performance Ford GT), third: "Third place is okay, especially since our weekend has been very tough. We had a few minor problems with the car - I guess you could say that third place today is thanks to our drivers' excellent performance and a great team effort with a smooth pit stop. Third was unexpected, so of course we're happy."

Jesse Krohn (# 38 Lambda Performance Ford GT), third: "We had two difficult races this weekend, and yet moved up the field in both events. Our pace was good and the pit stop went well. I had an exciting scrap with a Corvette in the second half of the race and had to work hard to stay ahead. It was very clear today that it's the drivers who make the difference."

Toni Seiler (# 18 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3), Sixth and winner in the amateur championship stakes: "We had a difficult weekend with problems in both practice and qualifying. Unfortunately, we were eliminated in the first race. The entire Callaway Team - especially our Czech crew of mechanics - did a great job this weekend and worked very hard. This success is primarily due to them."

Swen Dolenc (# 15 FACH AUTO TECH Porsche 911 GT3 R), Twelfth and second in the amateur championship stakes: "Unfortunately, we were a little too fast during a pit stop and received a penalty, but I soon found my rhythm and moved up the field a few places. In the end, we made the best out of the situation. Martin drove a great race and our 911 ran very consistently right up to the end."

René Bourdeaux (# 26 Team GT3 Kasko Porsche 911 GT3 R), Thirteenth and third in the amateur championship stakes: "We were just a little bit unlucky today after being forced to retire in the first race. We received a drive-through penalty, which Alfred served, so that I could immediately find my rhythm. Unfortunately, I stalled the engine at the pit stop, losing a few seconds - after that, I had a good race. It was a lot of fun and a really great race."

Alex Margaritis (# 10 SCHÖNER WOHNEN Polarweiss Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), seventh: "We were the fastest of the Mercedes teams today, which is great. I went up into eleventh place but then dropped back a little. The pit stop was perfect and Lance moved up a few places in the second half of the race. Our pace was good and our performance curve shows us we're definitely on the up."

Johannes Stuck (# 32 Young Driver AMR Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), DNF: "I overtook a BMW Z4 and braked at the same point as the BMW, but unfortunately, the car didn't slow up as much as I'd have liked. I then stupidly ran into a Porsche. I'm very sorry and have apologised to the Porsche driver. But even without this incident today, we wouldn't have done better than P20."

Diego Alessi (# 28 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3), DNF: "I'm obviously very disappointed. I suddenly lost power. We still don't know what caused it."

Maxime Martin (# 1 ALPINA BMW ALPINA B6 GT3), Eighteenth: "It has not been a successful weekend for us. The only positive is that our championship competitors also had a difficult weekend, and so all those at the top of the table are now bunched closer together and no one has drawn away from the rest."
