ADAC GT Masters·28.9.2012

Comments from practice: Reactions from the paddock after practice

Christopher Mies (# 21 Prosperia uhc speed, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "I managed a very good lap in second practice. I'm very pleased about posting best time, especially since we did it on worn tyres. It was totally unexpected. We're getting back what we lose on the first sector by making up time on sectors two and three."

Christoffer Nygaard (# 33 Young Driver AMR, Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3): "Unfortunately, this weekend is going to be very tough for us, as expected. I suppose that we'll finish somewhere between P10 and P20 in qualifying.

Diego Alessi (# 28 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "The car's balance is excellent, but tyres are giving some cause for concern in view of how they perform at other circuits. We don't know whether it's due to the success ballast or the asphalt on the track itself, but things haven't worked out too badly for us so far."

Christian Engelhart (# 36 Team Geyer & Weinig IT / Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "Things are looking good for us, but it's incredibly close. The field is even more evenly matched than in the Porsche Supercup. I never thought it possible, but the top ten drivers are covered by just two tenths of a second."

Maxime Martin (# 1 ALPINA, BMW ALPINA B6 GT3): "We haven't got a chance this weekend and may as well kiss our title hopes goodbye."

Christiaan Frankenhout (# 7 HEICO Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "Everything has gone okay for us so far, but racing is extremely close today. We did some testing here a few weeks ago, which at least gave us a bit of an edge in practice."

Christian Tilke (# 22 Prosperia uhc speed, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "We had a problem with a loose front splitter in first practice, but it was OK in the second session. I was only a second down on Christian Abt, so I'm satisfied. It would appear that we are back on the pace this weekend."
