Dino Lunardi (#1 ALPINA BMW ALPINA B6 GT3), race winner:
"That was an electrifying start. I was slightly quicker off the line than the Corvette, but Alessi caught up with me by the first corner. I was trying to turn in, but then left the door open all the same. We both braked very late, but I was at least able to hang on to second place. I then lost a lot of time pursuing the Aston Martin after a lapped Audi held me up. We are now up there with the leading bunch again and have notched up some valuable points. Our closest opponents also scored well, so I don't yet know if we've done enough."
Maxime Martin (#1 ALPINA BMW ALPINA B6 GT3), race winner:
"Dino did some great groundwork, which left me relatively unchallenged at the front. It wasn't an easy ride, though, because there were a lot of lapped drivers who were very reluctant to move over. The victory today is helpful, but we know the race tomorrow will be far from easy for us."
Sebastian Asch (#5 kfzteile24 MS RACING Team - Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), third:
"I was the beneficiary of the scrap between the BMW ALPINA and the Corvette, and I moved up one place because of it. Third place was always going to be the most we could get out of this race today."
Maximilian Götz (#5 kfzteile24 MS RACING - Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), third:
"I carefully managed the gap on the chasing bunch during my stint, but the distance to the Corvette ahead of me was too great. We conceded second place to the Corvette at the pit stop; now we need to analyse exactly how we lost that time."
Diego Alessi (#28 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3), second:
"Dino Lunardi was very aggressive at the start and drove into me. That was unnecessary and lost us some places. I'm not at all satisfied with second position; without the incident at the first corner, we stood a good chance of winning. As it was, I had to fight my way back up the field. We've not only missed out on a possible win because of this, but also possibly crucial points in the title race."
Daniel Keilwitz (#28 Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3, second:
"My race was fairly uneventful. After a very quick pit stop, I was up into second place, but I had no chance against the Alpina. Diego had pushed very hard to catch up during his stint, so the tyres were extremely degraded."
Kristian Poulsen (#33 Young Driver AMR Aston Martin V12 Vantage), P9 overall and amateur class winner:
"I wasn't totally happy with the car, and my race was anything but great. Still, Christoffer did a great job in the second half of the race and was very fast. After qualifying, we made a few changes to the car which - from my perspective at least - weren't all that productive."
Swen Dolenc (#15 FACH AUTO TECH - Porsche 911 GT3 R), P12 and second in the amateur class:
"Apart from the incident with Kenneth Heyer, which spun me round, there's not much else to report from me. Immediately after the spin, I couldn't get into first gear. That cost me 13 seconds and a possible win in the amateur stakes today."
René Bourdeaux (#26 Team GT3 Kasko - Porsche 911 GT3 R), P15 and third in the amateur class:
"My race was brilliant. I'd already had a very good quali. I found an inviting gap at the start today, made good some positions and then defended well. I started from P27 and progressed to P19, so I'm very happy. Alfred was very quick in the second half of the race. The points for third place are very important today, because this brings me closer to my target of finishing the season in fourth place."
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition - Corvette Z06.R GT3), DNF:
"We suspect that a faulty transmission sensor was responsible for our failure, but we need to look very carefully into the issue."
Harald Proczyk (#8 HEICO Motorsport-Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), DNF:
"Unfortunately, I was unable to avoid making contact with Frank Stippler's Audi on the first lap, and I'm really sorry about that. My race was sadly over because of that collision."
Frank Stippler (#40 Mamerow Racing-Audi R8 LMS ultra), P24:
"We had a puncture caused by a collision on the first lap. Even without that, it would have been hard for us here because we have a distinct lack of top speed. We start from P10 tomorrow, which doesn't make the race any easier for us."
Nick Tandy (#36 Team Geyer & Weinig EDV / Schütz Motorsport-Porsche 911 GT3 R), seventh:
"I did much better than I expected - we've done as well as we could with seventh place. We have a difficult starting position for tomorrow's race, but we only have one goal - to score points. We'll be going all out to make that happen. I recommend that you look out for our car in the race tomorrow; it should be interesting to watch."
Andreas Simonsen (#9 HEICO Junior Team-Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), fifth:
"I had a great start and was able to move up from P7 to P4. I had a small run-in with Florian Stoll during my race, which cost me a few places. We're already pushing our car to the limit, it definitely can't give any more. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I'll be starting from third on the grid."
