Top-drawer reinforcements at Mamerow Racing: the Audi team is strengthening its line-up with Frank Stippler as the ADAC GT Masters makes its second appearance of the current season at the Nürburgring from 14th to 16th September. The guest drive at the Nürburgring constitutes a home race for Stippler, who secured victory at this year's ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race at the Nürburgring and at the 24 Hours of Spa, comes from the nearby town of Bad Münstereifel.
Stippler is standing in for newly-crowned Porsche Supercup champion René Rast who must pass on this weekend's racing in the Eifel due to a prior commitment. Stippler's guesting at Mamerow stands under a positive sign: Mamerow Racing achieved the only win of the season so far with the Audi R8 LMS ultra in the first race of the ADAC GT Masters during the ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix at the Nürburgring this July; and Frank Stippler and the Nürburgring have previously formed a winning combination in the ADAC GT Masters in the past. The ex-DTM driver contested the 2008 ADAC GT Masters season and secured the first victory for Porsche in the League of Super Sports Cars at the Nürburgring with co-driver Lance David Arnold.
