Grasser enter new Lamborghini and driver: Austrian team travel to Nürburgring with new package

One year after GRT Grasser Racing first lined up in the ADAC GT Masters (also at the Nürburgring), the Red Bull Ring-based outfit are entering a new Lamborghini and a new driver. Daniel Bohr will be sharing the cockpit of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ with team principal Gottfried Grasser.

In preparation for his ADAC GT Masters debut at the circuit in the Eifel, Daniel Bohr put in a day of test driving at the Red Bull Ring near Graz in southern Austria. Daniel Bohr sounded pleased after taking his new vehicle out for the first time: "There is a big difference between the Lamborghini and the Porsche Cayman R that I've been driving in the VLN Endurance Championship. But it's great fun!" The young talent from Luxembourg impressed team boss Gottfried Grasser with his precise, textbook style of driving and with his fast lap times.

After showing such promise in testing, Bohr will make his debut in the Super Sports Car League next weekend (13th - 15th July) when the seventh and eighth races of the 2012 ADAC GT Masters season are contested on the same programme as the International Truck Grand Prix.

Daniel Bohr is looking forward to the challenge ahead: "The Nürburgring is familiar territory for me, but I'm feeling quite nervous all the same, because I don't know the Lamborghini all that well yet, having only taken it out for a test drive. So we'll just have to see how it goes. In Gottfried Grasser as team boss and team-mate, I have an experienced and fast driver to support me. I'm sure he'll give me plenty of tips and teach me some new tricks. As always, I'll be highly motivated and trying my best to mix it with the front-runners."
