Grasser Racing has strengthened its line up for the ADAC GT Masters races in Zandvoort (4-6 May). Alongside team boss Gottfried Grasser will be the first foreign guest driver in the "League of Super Sports Cars" for the 2012 season, as the former Formula 1 and Indy 500 driver Tomas Enge joins the Austrian team in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP520 GT3.
"I tested the Lamborghini Gallardo for a few days at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, which gave us the idea to race for Grasser Racing in Zandvoort", explains Enge, who drives for Reiter Engineering alongside Albert von Thurn und Taxis in a Lamborghini in the GT1 World Championship.
"The team is using the Lamborghini for the first time this year, and I have helped Grasser Racing with the suspension set up. In the short term, we have now decided that I will start at Zandvoort to help further assist the team with development. I'm really looking forward to my first start in the ADAC GT Masters."
"Unfortunately, my team mate Mario Dablander has other commitments and is unable to race in Zandvoort, but I am delighted that we have found a fast and high-profile replacement in Tomas Enge," said Grasser GRT team principal and driver Gottfried Grasser. "In any case, I'm very excited about the weekend in the Netherlands. I must be grateful to Hans Reiter, who has supported us and given us this opportunity to have Tomas Enge starting for us. For the smallest team in the ADAC GT Masters, it is a great honour to appear at Zandvoort with Tomas Enge."
