Mercedes-Benz secure best time in warm-up: Maximilian Buhk and Andreas Simonsen fastest in warm-up

Speedy early risers: Maximilian Buhl and Andreas Simonsen posted fastest time (01:44.606mins) in their Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 during the Sunday morning warm-up at the Lausitzring. Hard behind the HEICO Junior team's Gullwing and with a deficit of 0.077 seconds came Sebastian Asch and Maximilian Götz (Kfzteile24 MS RACING) in another SLS AMG; Asch and Götz also placed second in Saturday's race.

Dino Lunardi and Maxime Martin (ALPINA) took the third fastest lap time in the BMW ALPINA B6 GT3 from the Dutch BMW Z4 GT3 of Jeroen den Boer and Simon Knap (DB Motorsport). Diego Alessi and Daniel Keilwitz (Callaway Competition) proved that their Corvette is back on song again after a technical problem stopped them in the first race by claiming sixth place behind team-mates Toni Seiler/Frank Kechele. Keilwitz had pulled out of Saturday's race just before the end, and so, taking a belts and braces approach, Callaway Competition worked right through the night to replace the 'Vette's V8 engine. The sister car of Heinz-Harald Frentzen/Andreas Wirth provided the necessary bits since they are out of Race 2 after Saturday's accident.

After smashes on Saturday, the Audi R8 LMS ultra Mamerow of Christopher Haase/Chris Mamerow and the team Kasko GT3 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Christoph Schrezenmeier/Norbert Janz will also miss Sunday's race.
