1. Two team representatives are now a part of the ADAC GT Masters committee, which takes care of all aspects of the "League of Super Sports Cars" and features representatives from ADAC, DMSB and the teams. Christoph Schrezenmeier, team principal of Team GT3 Kasko and Kiran Hörth, team manager from ALPINA represented the teams in the ADAC GT Masters Committee.
2. YACO Racing powered by Jochen Schweizer travelled to the Netherlands with an empty race trailer. "The pinnacle of decadence", laughed team boss Uwe Geipel about the empty race truck. The two Chevrolet Camaro GT cars were brought to the Netherlands by development partner Reiter Engineering. Before the US muscle cars took part in their second race in the ADAC GT Masters, the Reiter team went back home to Bavaria to work on the Camaro.
3. Double duty for DB Motorsport: The stress of doing double duty was rewarded for DB Motorsport with their first ADAC GT Masters victory. In addition to the BMW Z4 GT3 entered for Jeroen de Boer and Simon Knap, the Dutch team also entered a sister car in the Dutch Supercar Challenge which launched as part of the ADAC GT Masters race weekend.
4. The Dutch sports car series drew some strange looks from the ADAC GT Masters paddock during its debut as there were two internationally obsolete, but still impressive and infernally loud GT1 Corvettes.
5. Globetrotters: For Nick Tandy and Jeroen Bleekemolen, the race at Zandvoort was just one stop on a large world tour. Tandy came from Portimão, Portugal and travelled after the race to Monterey, California for the third round of the American Le Mans Series. Bleekemolen came from Miami and also travelled to California. Their returning journeys will have the same destination: the 40th ADAC Zurich 24 hour race at Nürburgring.
6. This weekend, many of the drivers and half a dozen teams will be heading to the Eifel for the 24 hour race. Mamerow Racing, Young Driver, Schubert Motorsport, Gemballa Racing and HEICO Motorsport will be attacking the Eifel marathon. Callaway will also be sending a Corvette for Haribo Racing with a gummi bear livery for the 24 hour battle.
7. Following his accident last week in Fuji, Tim Bergmeister, ADAC GT Masters champion in 2008, has spoken personally via Facebook. "I'm still alive, but in a lot of pain from many broken bones" he wrote, thanking people for their many well wishes.
8. Diego Alessi's pole position for Race 1 was the tenth overall pole position for Callaway-Corvette in the ADAC GT Masters. In Saturday's race, the ninth victory for the US sports car in the "League of Super Sports Cars" duly followed. The last Corvette victory was on 23 August 2009, when Marc Hennerici and Luca Ludwig won the second race at the Nürburgring.
9. From one athlete to another: The winner's trophy on Sunday was awarded by football star Lars Ricken. The former German international is married to Andrea Kaiser, the new presenter of the TV broadcasts on kabel eins.
