The ADAC GT Masters is having to learn to come to terms with the loss of Alfred Herberth. The Porsche team boss from Jedenhofen in Bavaria died last Friday in a motorcycle accident at the age of 55 years.
Herberth was father to the two ADAC GT Masters drivers Alfred and Robert Renauer, Team Principal at FROGREEN CO2 neutral and also worked with his crew to prepare the Porsche 911 GT3 R for Team FROGREEN and GT3 Kasko.
Herberth has been a firm fixture in the German motor racing scene for more than 20 years, achieving particular success in the Porsche trophy series, where he made his name. After sporadic starts in the past, this season 2012 was to have been Herberth´s first full year in the ADAC GT Masters.
Alfred Herberth leaves behind sons, Alfred and Robert and wife Claudia Renauer with whom he spent many happy years.
