"A good start for our home race. I had a bit of traffic on my fastest lap, so it would have been possible to go faster."

"I was not expecting that we would start on Pole. After Simon was strong in the first session, I had a feeling that I would also do well. Our pace here was comparatively fast. To start on pole for our home race twice is fantastic. It doesn't get any better."

Andreas Wirth (#27 Callaway Competition-Corvette Z06.R Gt3), starting P5, Race 1:

I had some bad luck on my second flying lap as the red flag came out, then the peak performance was gone. On my fastest lap I made two small mistakes, under the circumstances, fifth place was the maximum."

Heinz-Harald Frentzen, starting P19, Race 2:

"On my first attempt, I was blocked by another driver at the end of the lap and I pushed too hard on the second attempt. I had pick-up on my tyres and couldn't give it my all."

"I am here for the first time and the track is not easy. However, we expected more. The classification of our Ferrari was better this time, but it is probably still not ok."

"I am very happy with the result, we mustn't forget that we have 20kg of success ballast on board this weekend. Starting second and eighth in the two races is a good base from which to get some good results."

"In second Qualifyng there were already extremely fast times being set. But we are the fastest Mercedes and I'm happy with that."

"We had expected considerably more based on Practice. The lap was good, but the time not so."

"The qualifying result is very good for us. I'm glad I drove in the first part of the session and Claudia's starting place on the third row for the first race is good. We had a big top speed disadvantage in Oschersleben, but the classification has been changed to our liking. We had quite a bit in reserve because the track suits our car very well."
