For the leader of the Amateur championship, Swen Dolenc (FACH AUTO TECH) the second race in Zandvoort started with a puncture. The 44 year old's Porsche 911 GT3 R team mate, Martin Ragginger, was hit at the start and had to head to the pits to change the tyre. After the unexpected change of tyre, the Porsche fell down the order and in the end Dolenc could only finish as the sixth best amateur, but maintained his position at the top of the championship table.
Carsten Tilke (Prosperia uhc speed) took an unchallenged lights-to-flag victory. The son of the race track architect, Hermann Tilke, took over the cockpit of the Audi R8 LMS ultra from his team mate Abt in fourth place, taking the lead of the Amateur class and driving completely unchallenged to the end of the race to his first Amateur victory. "The car was perfect, the race was great fun," said Tilke happily. "I found my rhythm much better than yesterday. I gave it my all, it is my best result to date in the ADAC GT Masters. And the groundwork by Christian Abt, of course, was perfect."
Second place went to the Dane Kristian Poulsen (Young Driver AMR) in the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, who passed Toni Seiler before the end of the race. However, after the conclusion of the race, Seiler was handed a 30 second time penalty after contact with the Lamborghini Gallardo of Marc A. Hayek. This promoted Rene Bordeaux (Team GT3 Kasko) into third place. Seiler was moved to fourth place, ahead of the Porsche 911 of Andrea Gugger and Otto Klohs (FACH AUTO TECH) in fifth.
